VOTING BY ABSENTEE BALLOT
April 2, 2019
Any qualified elector who is unable or unwilling to appear at the polling place on Election Day may request to vote an absentee ballot. A qualified elector is any U.S. citizen who will be 18 years of age or older on Election Day, who has resided in the Town of Richmond for at least 10 consecutive days before the election, and is registered to vote.
You must make a request for an absentee ballot in writing by mail or email. Your request must list your name, your voting address within the Town of Richmond, the address where the absentee ballot should be mailed (if different) and your signature. If not already on file, Proof of identification (Photo ID) must be provided before an absentee ballot may be issued. Send your written request by mail to Town Clerk Barbara Ceas, W8776 Territorial Rd., Whitewater, WI 53190, or email to firstname.lastname@example.org . The deadline to apply for an absentee ballot by mail is 5pm on Thursday, March 28, 2019.
Contact Clerk Ceas regarding deadlines for requesting and submitting an absentee ballot if you are indefinitely confined to home or a care facility, in the military, hospitalized, or serving as a sequestered juror.
